Everything is Amazing...
Next up on my to do of content is to complete the first chapter of Designing Emotion (I've already submitted almost 20k words to our editor) and this chapter includes a section titled "Everything is amazing and nobody is happy"... This I've found to be a rather accurate description of how I feel...
See in the past 3 months I've only been at home for about 4 weeks of that time, due to my extensive travelling for both pleasure & business. In fact I'm typing this on my 24 hour flight from Cape Town to Vegas, where I'm speaking at a conference. So this is another 2 weeks that I'll be away from home.
I get that most people would love to see the Greek islands, London, Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Vienna, Vegas & LA on a 3 month whirlwind trip. And it has been a great opportunity (to be paid to travel) and experience, but for me at least the timing of all this has been too much.
At the moment I crave routine, I crave a full 7 day work week and I'd love to be home more often and celebrate my newly status with my wife. ;) I'm probably different in that regard: if everything is amazing, I can't be happy unless these personal requirements are also met.
1Password on Chrome
Successfully changed my default browser from Safari to Chrome after spending too many hours beach-balling and crashing. Also installed the awesome new version of 1Password which features some sexy Chrome love. :)
Good Ideas
I'm down with the flu, so I'm in bed playing with a few new iPhone apps & I finally got the opportunity to check out Path. And this good me thinking about good ideas...
See, about 3 months ago we had the idea to do something similar as a Radiiate project and decided against it as there were many similar apps / services available. Yet Path - regardless of whether this is merited - have done really well to create a lot of buzz for their product.
So this begs me to reiterate what others have said: great ideas without execution are worth nothing. If we had similar passion to the Path crew, that could've been our app. The fact that we had the idea however counts for nothing...

One Percent Project
Having teased this little project last week, I'm so excited to launch it: The One Percent Project.
All of us uses our computers all day long and I bet that most of us normally can't wait to upgrade our computer setups to the latest tech (rewarding ourselves for our hard work). I know I do that... So this project is all about giving something (very related) back to enable those that will not get the opportunity otherwise.
I have kickstarted the campaign with a $200 USD donation myself and I hope I can count on you guys & girls to do the same! :)
[box type="info"]The One Percent Project is a little collaboration between Radiiate & The Rockstar Foundation and is the result of 2 days of work last week. :)[/box]
