I've learnt that whilst my mistakes, successes and failures will always shape me, it doesn't define me and it's never a key metric when I need to measure myself or my life holistically.
I'm sure if some of society's greatest inventors waited for data or validation, many inventions would never have seen the light of day.
I know what makes me happy and I mostly know how to optimize for that happens too. Part of that optimization is not to fall into the Joneses' trap.
I'm naturally limited in my abilities, aptitude, thoughts, ideas and opinions. And I'm okay with that.
