I'm not trying to paint a negative picture about entrepreneurship; for most people pursuing it, it will have much more positives than it ever has negatives. It is also a great adventure and experience _if_ you manage to enjoy the journey more than the goals or results.
Reaching a goal or milestone should be about what happens after: what opportunities can I pursue when I get to that goal or what decisions would I make then that I can't make now?
What people know about you will either drive them towards you. Or away from you. The question is thus how to build the reputation that will be most beneficial to you? Or that will help you make progress towards your goals?
In recent years I latched onto the idea that my life is not about the goals or destinations, but just about the journey itself.
